Our Task
The first, shall we review what the water cycle is.
Sewage flows to sewer pipes and its treatment is done at a sewage treatment plant. And then, the treated and cleaned water returns to the nature.
We, Utsunomiya Industries Co., Ltd, have been developing, suggesting, and designing equipment, which is for water treatment plants/pumping stations, to clean sewage, and renovating, improving, repairing, and maintaining plant facilities. We have been striving for returning clean water to rivers and the ocean after treating rainwater and household effluent, and then also protecting people in cities from heavy rains. We are proud of holding an important part, a role for necessary to maintain infrastructure, for a society.
Structure of Water and Sewage Service
- Designing/Construction of Plant for Aquatic Environment
- We are conducting and providing all the workflows from designing to construction/maintenance of a system which relates to water treatments at water/sewage treatment plants, power plants, and industrial plant.
- Maintenance of Pump
- Regardless of the size of pumps, we decompose broken pumps and maintain all the component parts of the pump. We replace an old pump to a new pump, if the case may be.
- Improving Sedimentation Basin
- Sedimentation basin plays a role of cleaning sewage by sinking solid compositions (foreign matters) in sewage. Also, we clean basins and replace component parts/equipment after draining sewage.
- Exchanging Pipe and Valve
- We replace old pipes and valves. When we conduct a construction of pumps and/or sedimentation basins (and if an installation is required), we install pipes and/or valves newly.
- Improving Dustproof Machine
- Dustproof machine plays a role of removing foreign matters and/or fallen leaves in sewage. The sewage, which is removed foreign matters and/or fallen leaves, is discharged to rivers and the ocean.

We, Utsunomiya Industries Co., Ltd, are a corporate who support and are an expert of the water and sewage treatments.
(We have been in construction industry; moreover, we have been working on a construction business, which is specialized in the water treatment.)
As everyone knows, water treatments require a wide range of facilities and equipment such pumps, sedimentary sand, sedimentation equipment, etc. We can cope with all the works, which relate to the water treatment, to support your water facilities will ran longer, have a better efficiency, and have a better net-working rate.

- Pumping Equipment
- Let us think about the “Pump”. In case of human being, the heart is a significant pump and its circulates blood to every inch of our body.
Like a human body, if a pump in a plant has damage, every operation in the water treatment plant stops, and eventually enormous damage occurs.
Thus, we cope with suggesting, designing, constructing, maintaining outstanding large pumps for water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, power generation plants, and also outstanding small pumps for variety of plants, and factories.
- Sand Filter Base/Sedimentation Basin
- Sewage, which is removed large foreign matters at a sand filter base, flows to a sedimentation basin. As heavy foreign matters sink and light foreign matters float, foreign matters in the sewage are collected by using these methods at the sedimentation basin. Both sand filter base and sedimentation basin are quite important facilities in the sewage treatment.
As we believe their significance in the sewage treatment, we have been developing our original products, which are low-power consumption and can remove scum more efficiently than conventional pipe skimmers.

For final sedimentation basin: Hiichi-Kun
- Sterilization/Filtration Facility
- Sterilization facility and filtration facility sterilize E. coli, etc. in sewage by using chlorine and return treated and cleaned water to rivers and the ocean. Moreover, we have been working on research and development on further reducing of nitrogen and phosphorus, which may cause red tides, in the treated water.
- Dustproof Facility/Sluice Gate
- Dustproof facility and sluice gate are not only outlets of treated and cleaned water to rivers and the ocean, but also they protect reverse flows from rivers and the ocean to the facilities when water level of rivers and the ocean rose.
As every facility in the water treatment plant is important, we have been working on tasks on every water treatment process to protect lives of citizen and our earth.

We, Utsunomiya Industries Co., Ltd, aim at creating a sustainable and developmental future society and a recycling-based society of resources as a corporate who has been working on water and sewage treatment plants for ages.
This is an individual commentary on 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and 169 targets.
Especially, we are working on following three out of seventeen goals actively;
[6. Clean Water and Sanitation], [7. Affordable and Clean Energy], and [14. Life Below Water].
